Audio box: Soundproofing (building acoustics)

With its unique, especially effective isolation, the double shell construction of the audio box acts as an acoustic "deformation zone", reducing the transmission of vibrations even at critical points such as the floor, door and window.

Note:

Measurements of the wall structure of our booths indicate a normalized sound pressure level difference Dn,w of 53 dB. However, in practice only the normalized level difference of the completely installed booth is decisive for the auditory impression. This value is shown in the diagram.

In practice, booths exhibit a smaller normalized sound pressure level difference than can be assumed from the certified laboratory values for the wall structure.

Our acoustic insulation specifications are verified by official inspection certificates of the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing. The measurement is performed for a completely installed booth (with ventilation openings), in which there is room for 2 people (with a booth volume of 7.7 m³).

Values for larger or smaller booths may differ.
